I'm proud of my car & the work I've put into, but c'mon a Bertolucci/Westergard car? ... how can a guy not feel humble? I have too much respect for the work those guys did. They're the ones who started all this, they deserve it.
Where did you get the photo of the Kopper Kart and the Aztec? I wonder what the story is there? Two California customs in Ohio. I know the Kopper Kart was bought by Jim Street in Dayton and then it disappeared. Ummm....
Hey Gotgas,,,if you can please post a picture of the rear of my car the 55 ford crown vic with the 57 chevy front end the rear end is pretty different...ive never seen anything like it before.....Thanks .....i dont know how to post pictures that well..............
I stole that pic from the net someplace, might have been Riksters site. The Aztec is alive and well, owned by Barry Mazza. You are thinking of the Golden Sahara, owned by Jim Street.
I had a brain fade, Jim Street bought the Kopper Kart, The Golden Sahara and Kookie's T. I just read somewhere on the forum that the Aztec and the Kopper Kart traveled to the east to go shows shows in the northeast. The Kopper Kart is rumored to have been cut up and junked.
Ron: Any more pics of this car? Any info? It looks like a '46-'48 ford business coupe with the rear window deleted making a 3-window of sorts..............???? I'd love to hear/ see more.......................... Thanks in advance. Tim
The Chevy Belongs to Bob Davis of Indy. Rob made the skirts lengthened them and put the lip on them for him about 4 yrs ago. The hood blew up also so he repaired the hood and some damage to the fenders. Nice car!! Im getting a scanner for xmas!!! I have tons of pics I cant wait to post. I'll keep up with Ron
Several years ago I went to the "men & machines of the california car culture" show at the oakland museum. The chrysler was there and I was most impressed with it. Its (for me) about the coolest custom on the planet. Heres a link to the thread I did asking about it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27110
My favorite late model merc. I took these at the first Joe Balon show in Auburn. Iv seen the car a few more times, dont know the owner.
