I Would Like To Know Which Show To Go To. I Live On The East Coast And Don't Know Of Any Shows And I Want To Make The Trek To The West Coast For A Show. Any Help, Suggestions, Or Ideas Would Greatly Be Appreciated.
They are only a month apart....Can you take a long vacation? A large number of cars that go to Paso will be at the L A Roadster show anyway, even the customs, in the "preferred parking" area, so I'd say LAR Show would be better if ya gotta choose just one. It's just way bigger. There's definitely more hotrods at LA. Paso Robles (a Spanish name, properly pronounced Pass-sew Row-blaze) is supposed to be a Kustom Car show, with some hotrods allowed. LAR Show is a "shiny roadsters only" show with anything old allowed in the preferred parking which is a second show at the same location at the same time and that usually includes 90% of the cars that were just at Paso a month earlier...
Really DrJ? I have never been to the LA Rodster Show, not at all into the shiny 32's thought thats all there was there. Wow i'm gonna check this out! Thanks.
The show outside the show is one of the best shows of the year, and the swap meet is second to none on SoCal. The prices are on the high side though. Dr. J, it's actually el-pass'-sew-de-row'-bless
That's correct, but for a typical "white guy" who thinks Robles rhymes with noble, the correct accent would be near impossible. How about the full names of the cities we shorten to "Ventura" and "Los Angeles"??!!!!
I've never been to Paso... but I've seen enough coverage to know that the LA Roadster's show (which I have been to) would be the one to go to. The preferred parking area is tops... everycar that is any car is there... and the other half is stuff you won't see anywhere else. Sam.
Imagin just about every issue OOOOOH PAST 6 MO'S of the GG gazzette , rod and custom streetrodder and just about any other kool car mag you can think of comming to life before your eyes for the next weeek .They throw in the fact you get to go inside the NHRA place too .THATS THE ROADSTER SHOW . Tins of cool roadsters yes , then add a really huge cool swap meet "last year i bought coffins" or was that the year before ? Just about any vendor in the mags is there , and the specilty parking area is yet another show , then you have all the parties , cruzes , and open houses . Best show i go to hands down every year!
