Is that gonna work? Is there anyone on the forum that run their Chevy -51 with this setup? Thanks in advance 😊 Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I'd go with Firestone 6.70's also, the BF Goodrich 6.70's fit those wheels very well... they have a slightly wider whitewall. Both produced by Coker. I've had good luck with both. Here is a picture of the BF Goodrich 6.70s on a stock Chevy rim.
L-78 is a huge tire for both the stock wheel and proportionate to your car. As I recall, the L-78 was used on full size wagons and large sedans in the late '60s / early '70s. I would think an E-78 would be the closest to original dimensions and, if that is the case, an F or G series would be the largest upsize that would be practical. A 6.70 was probably the original size before the letter series tires came to market. Of course, that is just my opinion and you may have something very specific in mind you want to achieve. But if you are intent on using an L series, at the very least you should consider a wider rim.
Yeah that what i thought as well, they will be to big. Just a little bit curious because I have 4 new L78-15 laying in my garage. Thanks for your rime and answers. //Pizzton Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
