Looks pretty darn good. Looks like you need to take the rear cut a little farther up towards the top to avoid a little lump where the cut ends now. It might just be the camera angle/shot.
I’m enjoying the hell outa this….

It can use some fine tuning. Had to lower the ride height 3/8 of an inch. Funny the that little would make that much difference.

I knew you had it in ya ! Now you need to metal fish the front clip to perfection and pull a mold and lay up a one-piece tilt nose! Always thought doing that would be cool, but working on Vettes, Shelby Mustangs and glass hot rod body's is bad enough. This going to be a great car. Keep it up.

  15. Around here, the saying goes: "Just another damned thing." Lately the dog needed $$$$$ hernia operation, drive belt broke on the garage door opener so replaced both, a wire broke on the clothes washer pump (cost nothing but 5 hours taking apart the washer front, soldering wire, reassembling), on and on. I've got that AOD in, then realized I need it out so that I can drill holes in the frame and mount the trans cooler next to it, which I can't afford to buy until the vet bill is paid off in January. So, like you, I'm turning attention to body work on front fenders and other cost-free drudge work. Thanks again for the assist on the AOD.

Made a trip to the steel supply store. Ouch!!!
It was a three for trip. Got steel for the carport legs, outrigger material for the Shaker and front frame material for Geronimo.

Had been wondering when the Cragar SS wheels came to market and found this add in a 1964 Drag News.

I sure have been collecting some good parts for it. Hope that when winter sets in I can lock myself in the basement and make some good progress on it. Been hard to keep it out of my mind lately.

I guess being I always tend to mix to much primer thought it only proper to give this project some love. So I primed the hoods and side panels.

  24. I like it James, YOU KNOW I DO. Keep going, this is going to be a great gasser. The world needs more real gassers, even in this day and age.

With all the cutting my late buddy Jay has done on the 56 chevy gasser project I am working on; I'm going to name it Hacksaw ;) also putting the saying " just one cut away from perfect" on the trunk. :D
