  1. Really? the McMullen Roadster, The Kelly Brown T, the Niekamp car, The HAMB's own Dean Lowe RPU, Blackie Gegian's Shishkabob, -there were Many historic and traditional cars in the Show side, including a handful of previous AMBR cars. lot's of good stuff to see.

Had a fantastic time running around for a week of open houses and tours. From a private tour of So Cal to Ron Lee's collection, found time to go to Thumper and Flo's lunch too! Found a neat little shop in Azusa, Schrader Speed and Style, nice little operation, and they were working on a 37 Desoto Airflow that Barry Lobeck started before he got ill. The show itself is awesome, from the swap, to the cacklefest and all the cars in between............wow. The only drawback I found was the $11 glass of beer.............but sacrifices have to be made to further the economy

Damn near had an out of body experience looking at the Niekamp car in person for the very first time! I have loved that car since I was a kid reading about it in Rod&Custom and the quarterlies, and I have been all over most of the "historic" hot rods out there - hell, I've even contributed work to some of them. But I had never seen that perfect car in the flesh until Saturday... I was real quite for a bit there.

I have to agree. My daughter and I spent a good bit of time looking that car over. I have always thought it is the icon of our hobby.
