As many have already said, thank you so much for including us in your journey. I would also figure out a way to save all of your vids on a disc or something, as I find you cannot trust the internet! Very jealous of your father-son trip! I was my pop was 1/100th the gearhead I am. Bonneville is on my to do list for the next few years, and I'm gonna drive there from Detroilet!

The battery is dead, we are on the side of the road about 60 miles west of SLC. Between mile marker 51-52

I'd put the hood up to signal traffic, but I don't have one!

Steelejunkiell is on the way with a trailer and battery.

Well, I just read all sixteen pages, and now it's waaaay past my bedtime! (12:18 AM, to be precise!) Thanks for the awesome, inspirational thread, guys! Now to plan that big cross-country roadtrip adventure with my Dad...

 

Sorry to hear you are broke down, but hope you are enjoying the rest of the trip.

Is that a corvette steering wheel in your car? if so are there any special parts you needed to use it. I'm thinking of putting one in my 53 chevy but want to know what it takes to install it before I drop the cash for one.

Hi Guys, just followed this post from ther start. Really enjoyed it all. Brings back a lot of memories of our trips across some of those south western States. The scenery is just awe inspiring. Hope you get home OK and thanks for all the pics.

Sorry the battery took a dump, but this still made me laugh.

 

I don't know yet, I don't think the alternator is charging (clearly). It was 1am by the time we got to SLC. We'll take it to the parts shop and get what we need.

James brought a battery, we swapped it and drove on to the trailer. I'll be adding a Volt gauge soon!

the alternator quit because you spun it to FAST ... HAhA....

 

Rodwell & StNick, we had a nice breakfast, they know most of the same guys from the early days in Cheyenne. It was a fun breakfast with great stories!
