well i had too much time and too much paint so i was playing around with the idea of lacing the top what do you guys think???? leave it or sand it off i plan to paint the whole car then do the lace.
paint the rest of the car. there is no place for flake, lace, pearls on a car that the rest of the body is in primer.
Kool.i like the feed back please keep it coming.... yes,i plan to paint the whole car.this was only a test. oh yeah, this was the first car i have ever spayed.
I like the lace...but don't screw up the rest of the car with any of that shiny stuff - finish off the body with splatter/trunk paint - I mean...somebody has to be first with a new trend....why not YOU?? dj
I'm thinking that car is too old for lace. a 35-6 ford built in taildragger style should be a dark solid color. well... that's how I'd do it anyways. save the lace for the later cars... for me lace looks best on 58 - 64 cars
I don't think that lace has a place on a taildragger type car. Kirk's car looks right at home with the lace panels because it is done in a later style. Just because lace is the popular option right now, doesn't mean it will work on every single car.
definately not the right body for lace, lace belongs on 60's flat body cars or the front room window..
hahah,,,didnt really mean to sound outraged,,,, kinda hard to communicate humor on the computer (dont know how to do one of those fruity smiley faces,,)
I personally think lace only works on late 50's and early 60's cars. That car doesn't need any help to look better, It's cool without it!
