    A leaf spring suspension doesn't need a TA either.

    3rd and 4th gen F bodies use coil springs, not leafs.

    After some clarification of the pivots etc ,I personally think the OP's original concept is the easiest and would work out great.

    But not the ladder bar as later mentioned.
    All he would be doing is imitating the 3-Link system on a S-197 Mustang [2005+]
    Try and make the upper bar shorter to prevent pinion angle change.

    And the upper bar doesn't need to be in the centre, you can mount it offset to one side
