Looking for ideas for exiting lake pipes through frame. I don't want to go under frame-yet. I think these will enlarge if you clik on them.
I'm not at all clear on what you mean exhaust wise...but that won't stop me from posting that your truck is one of the nicest of the fenderless style that I've ever seen! That look is still getting figured out by most builders, but you've moved it to a new level of cool in my book! Good job!
run a muffer in your header. you dont have much frame to play with do you have more pics of your truck and could you email some to me i just got a 35 last week its a rot box but i just wont to cut the **** out of it anyways thanks Bill
I want to go through the frame. In the 4TH picture there are two holes in frame the front one I want to make a 3.25 tube and weld in then run a 2.25 tube for exhaust through frame. I mounted the Master cyl. high so the frame is clear. I tried a swirl type muffler in a friends Lake Pipes never really worked-to much noise and ran like ****. Maybe there are some other type to fit the ID is 2.5 Hope these next pic's show it better.
Most trucks like that fail, yours has great lines! You could do a simple sleeve through the frame but a belled hole with a sleeve would look better IMHO
Thanks I like the bell idea. Or befor I get to far does any one like Lake Pipes or should I keep them under hood?
I have often wondered what it does to the exhaust flow when you tap off the side of the collector like you are evidently talking about.
Got to run bad even worse than stock but maybe uncorked? This is to be a driver to replace my 34 I use in LA.
On Jr's car I ran the exhaust off of the header , through the frame and back to the back of the car. On my 32 I made cut outs that went through the frame. Both are basically the same....running the exhaust through the frame. I just used 3 inch round tubing to fill the hole. It was cut on a 45 degree angle. Clark
