This poor old model A has been sitting outside way too long!

I think it is a 60 or 70 build...not sure yet. (more research is needed)

Someone did some fine fiberglass work on this one!

    Here's some pics...

I know I'm crazy, but it has to be done!

Check out the Z frame! I call it Redneck rigging! :D

    Here's a little inspiration!

first, make a room reservation. so, going to grind off all fiberglass and hope everything underneath in good shape? going to change frame? using a fiberglass cover over passenger area?-Ha-just kidding. don't paint it too shiny because the flying salt will not be nice to it. nice art work. looks like plenty of stuff there that need saving too. have fun.

Not too sure about the work some people do and think it's correct or safe . Some of that shit really scares me to think someone was racing down the streets in it .
It really doesn't look all that bad to start with . I have seen many in far worst shape brought back from the dead before .
I ;like the drawing you have done for the car you are going to build . Really will be a great looking ride !
Good Luck with the build and keep us all posted !

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE !

  4. Hopefully all that fiberglass comes off!

    Keep us posted!

I cind of like the shape of all the glass. I would be a bitch to recreate it in metal. Please keep us informed on the history as well as the build

Oh...and it turns out the car was built in the 60s from a local bodyman. My Boss got the original heat dropped axle that was on the car! I will have to see if I can steal it back!:D

    Happy New Year!

The new year started off with a Bang! I scored this Model A frame! The front crossmember was cracked in half (Someone welded at some time) and the front horns have damage but all in all it is a nice square frame! A good foundation to build on.

    Here's some pics:

Got a little done today...staightened the front frame horns...still needs some tweekin.

I flipped the frame over and cleaned it up a little bit...The frame horn back to original!

...more frame shots. Um I know...boreing...but ya gotta start with a good foundation!

I put carriage bolts instead the original rivits. Snapped 2 off so I gotta get grade 8 bolts!

this pic shows how bad the horn is and the carriage bolts through the crossmember.

Thanks for all the positive input (negative comments are welcome as well...how else do ya learn?)

Yea it is a back yard Hot Rod for sure!

My vision is a project that would have been built in the 50s/60s on a High School kids budget...no money just an Idea and a dream.

Next the frame is off to the sandblaster! Yes we have a sanblaster in this one Horse town! :D

After that I'm gonna get the body in the Garage!

BTW I'm workin out of my 1 Car Garage with a 220 heater that is piped in from the Dryer plug in from the house (Red Neck enginering at its best) When my sister thinks she needs to use the dryer she unplugs the heater and it gets cold out here real quick! HaHa!

Decided to mock-up (some call it Fock-up:D) the motor before the frame is off to the Blaster It aint even close yet but it gives me motivation!

The flatty needs to go back a lot, but the middle crossmember will not let me...so see ya crossmember!

The moter needs to come up in the front, a lot! Oh well just Focking it up!

Looks like this should be a cool car. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I do not know one way or the other but is there an advantage to have the carbs up high like that or is it a look that you like?
