Hey there, a while back I saw a sweet set of lakes headers on E Bay with caps and turndowns nice finish......and of course I dropped the ball! I have a 341 Hemi from a 57 Desoto in my 30 A, right now the headers and pipes are the tradiitional tucked style, I need to do some exhaust work, and just wanna scrap all of the old stuff and go with some lakes headers, now do I go baffled, or open I have heard different opinions on open due to exhaust valves(heat, pressure)?? Is this a concern? And where can I find a set, I had to go to the HAMB cause I am sure someone out there has some knowledge that they would be willin to share, the set I saw on EBAY was not home done, so I know they were bought somewhere, I have looked everywhere, only found one guy online, he is an option for now, hopefully one of you gots an idea! thnks for takin a sec to check this out, will post up some pics of whatever I do to her......
www.lakeheaders.com Awesome. Straight, and very well priced. He can put the baffles in. Ask for Matt.
Dreddybear is correct, Matt at Lakes Headers is your man for headers. He will do them outside the box if you want. Just tell him what you want and you will get them in quick and timely manner as well as being precisely fabbed the FIRST time around. (Damn, don't thank sound like an infamershal.)
I had seen him before and looked into it..I will def. give him a call, I just wish I knew where the ones on Ebay came from..they were a sweet set, looked like I havent seen them before, and its hard to find stuff for that hemi, they had so many variations of the hemi in those years... I guess there are no issues about the exhaust valves..or does anyone know otherwise?
