A few pics from the huge Lannon show held in downtown Lannon wisconsin. Several nitro cars showed up to fire up. Some are cackle only cars some are still raced. Not many shows can match this. All the money raised goes to local charities the crowds were huge each time they fired up.
How do the safety rules work over there for older drag cars, does a 60’s FED have to meet the modern safety standards to race?
This was a car show not a race. The nhra rule book has all of your answers for questions related to racing. It's way too much to cover here.
In case anyone else was wondering like me why “Some are cackle only cars some are still raced.” I read the NHRA book. Simple answer to my question is yes. There is a NHRA class for original spec cars but they aren’t allowed to race over 1/4 mile.
