laquer paint....

    They make paint that isn't lacquer?
    Wow!
    Never used anything but lacquer.
    Y'all too damn lazy to sand?

    yeah, I did that, too. But you can't repaint wihtout reacting in case of damage. Not bad on a bike tank, but a bitch on a full car. ;)HOK has it, too. And the DelClear that PPG/Ditzler has does the same.

    And it would have been identical with laquer, as you can't sand pearls or metallics/flakes before hitting them with clear even if they are laquer, as you will take the color off the flake/pearl. Solid color base/clear you can sand the base, and get the same results without the brittleness and durability issues of laquer.

    I sand my urethane paints, too. Don't know why anyone doesn't. I use them the same as I did the old laquer stuff I learned on all those decades ago. I just get longer lasting shine with better UV protection, rock chip protection, and less brittleness/cracking/crazing.
