Don't envy me!! Haha! I'm the dipshit who signed up for all the work! You guys get to build cars all day, and I wish I knew HALF as much about how to do that as you do. I've wanted a hot rod since I knew what a hot rod even was and I've bought and sold at least fifteen '47-'53 Chevy pickups over the past few years that I picked up from farmers around here, always thinking I wanted to keep one and fix it up, but it was always too, profitable when I sold 'em, and none of them really got me goin......Then along came the Plymouth and I'm keepin' it forever, I love it with all my heart, and all's I wanna do is get the thing done so I can DRIVE IT! Patience has never been a virtue of mine either...... I wish you all could come see these parts with your own eyes! The pictures don't do it any justice whatsoever.....

Chris thanks for the post your living my dream. The story of your return trip in the cold and snow made me laugh. I made a trip from In. to Great Falls Mt. pulling a trailer in about the same weather. You don't want to stop so you keep pushing on. Good Luck Ron

  9. May have to make the trip up there at some point. My office is by the Windmill Truckstop in Rapid City if you boys pass through again. Buy ya coffee, lunch and or a beer if you need a break.

I want to add to my list any Dodge moon style hubcaps especially if they will fit my Ford wheels. Also 58 Chevy (early 60's 'Vette) tail light lenses.

And yes I would so want to play with old parts all day instead of real work.

It'll be worth it for ya to come over this summer if you can. Billings has a pretty good sized car show in late July and Evan and I are thinking of putting on a big shindig down at the shop that week....will keep ya posted!

You guys, keep sending me emails PM's ,and let me know what parts you're looking for, I'm actually finding a few of your requests! Once we get these pallets unpacked, I'm gonna have a fairly good mental inventory, and that's gonna have to work until we get this website up, and that may take awhile!

Holy Sh*T is all I have to say Chris !! I lived in SoCal for 38 years before moving to VA, and I had seen alot of deals go down...maybe a good score of a couple of Tractor trailer loads....But nothing of this size and this diverse in parts..Bud what a Score !! You and your partner price em right to sell...and you both will be set for life ! Best of Luck on your future sales !

Chris, as you know Verbal Knit was there over the weekend looking for some tail lights for me and sent me some photos. I thought I would let you know these are '46 Oldsmobile fender spears just in case you didn't know what year.

Chris, the problem you will run into is that it will be almost impossible for you to be an expert on all of the parts that you now own. It takes years for you to learn what all they may or may not fit. You will piss off some people and thus you will need to be a little thick skinned. If you were to let someone know upfront that they will need to verify the part that you have is the part that they may need or want,it will make life a whole lot simpler and happy for you and your buyers. I was a district mgr for a large parts chain and I have seen alot of bs on both sides of the counter.
I will call you the beginning of next week about the fender and running boards that I PMed you about. I am interested in them-tho it may be kinda expensive to ship. If you have a spare minute, please let me know if you have a heater for the truck as well. Thanks Jim

If the other partner is running across I80 to PA and back he could leave your parts at Frank, AKA Enjenjo's place right off I80 just west of Toledo and you could pick them up at your leisure.

Been following this since you started. Dont think you have ever answered the questions about whether or not you got any of the cars that are in some of the pics or discussed. That would just be too much!

I tried to read the whole thread but got anxious LOL... Have any 64' Mercury Comet 202 2DR-HT trim ? I'll try and PM/email you.
List: C-pillar moldings both, trunk lip trim, quarter panel letters COMET one set, quarter panel arrow trim one full side, and some more stuff..

WHAT A SCORE MAN!! I'd have to look into other options than ebay IMO... it's easy but is a pain and they get WAY TOO MUCH for nada IMO!! I sell there myself but would pass on them with that stash!! I'd get a online site with a search function to help folks find the part they need, that would cut out some emails/calls etc.. and would help you get some time back. You could have it as a request a quote function when someone finds a part they need. JST ??

  26. Wow, I just tuned in and read the whole story! Congratulations on being there and able to secure such a deal. I will definitely be a player for some parts for my collection of cars if possible. i am really glad someone like yourself and partner are willing to help others out with their needs from the treasure chest. The Hamb is a great place for this story! I guess I will start a request with a Pm but I'm sure you are getting overwhelming requests for parts. I will check out the e-bay auctions. God Bless and thanks for the story.:D:cool:

That is a great idea. Chris,is he still running back and forth or is the running done? I could even run down to the Toll road and meet up as well. Thanks for the idea.

I will get a list together and give you a call and/or PM to see what you may have and then if possible meet up with him,if I knew when and where he will be. I'd bring cas or a crdit card over the phone.

My neigbors down the street here, the Kanter brothers, started with a one car garage full of used auto parts. They have turned that into the worlds largest old car parts company.

    Ya never know.
