Built by Indiana metal man Bob Metz and eventually owned by Doc Dorner of liquid gl*** wax fame and used on the wax cans. Does anyone know what ever happened to it??

I wonder if anyone ever won the $1000 reward for naming all 33 cars?

I think it was in a Walmart ad with the Grinch driving it last December.

The mere mention of a "pyramid" scheme to become a millionaire sure conjures up thoughts of time spent in a minimum security Federal facility!

Mr Dorner got into trouble for that. That’s why the name of the wax changed from liquid gl*** to liquid first cl***

Looks like La Rocket was based on the 1951 Buick Experimental car "Le Sabre"

Find Bonnie D and it’s probably collecting dust in her garage. Probably got it in the divorce or hid it when the feds came for Mr Dorner.
The front end looks like a caricature of Jimmy Durante, hot cha cha cha cha cha…. Lotta work in that car.

Some stuff on the sale and settling of the Dorner estate in Battle Creek.

Others are looking for La Rocket as well...

  26. I first saw the post at thought there was going to be a picture of a new car in the garage.

The ad on that can is pretty amazing.
I can only imagine what the tv or radio ad would have sounded like.

I like the touches like the way the hood opens and the way the little “scoops” retract to become steps and close again. The organic look of the front end might scare people…..

I’d like to see some of the other cars he did. Definitely a man with imagination and metalworking talent.

You can see that Facebook stuff without being a member.

Just hit the 'x' on the sign-up box pop-up, and ignore the sign-up stuff on the bottom of the page.
