How did Larry make the spinners for the hubcaps used for his 1950 chevy (grapevine)? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
They are '56 Olds deluxe hub caps with the center of the cap pushed out. The 3 bar part of the spinner is the stock '56 Olds with 6 extra '53 Olds Fiesta blades added
Now that I look at them again, I think that the flipper set up as described by Atomic Custom is on a different cap, but I don't recall what cap it is. If it were on the 56 olds cap, the flipper would sit down inside instead of sitting on top of the cap like they are (were). Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

The centers were pushed out because the Olds caps wont clear the spindle on the front hub as they are stock
Larry watson was the man, at 16 had one of the most timeless builds EVER... At 16 hard to imagine. I wish i didn't waste my time with the truck scene before I got wise and got my 49. I would of loved to have met Larry! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
