Thanks again for the shade and the cookies, we had a great time. We stuck to our original travel plans on the way home (we spent Sunday evening in Indio, and headed home at 3 AM Monday morning), and it worked out great.

Wow! The Golden Nugget F100 is beautiful!
I remember it from few years ago, i think it wasnt out in a while, or im watchin all the wrong event threads.
Anyway, im fightin w/ myself if i prefer it in this unrestored state or would like to see it all nice n restored.
Erikson did one in that style a few years ago.

The roadster and nugget survivors are AWSOME! What is the history/story on them, inquiring minds want to know?

It was great meeting all the new guys...and seeing the rest of you too.
I wouldn't do ANYTHING to the Nugget! The guy who owns it said it was gonna stay just like he found it. One of his friends told him to restore one half of it,hahaha!

I remember reading they are DC3 airplane tires. Barris also built a trike using them as rear tires called the sidewinder.

Thanks for the Hamb Camp on Saturday, it was nice to have a place to rest my tired feet and get a COLD drink and a cookie during very busy day. Also thanks to JustplainJ and his daughter for a yummy dinner, and StudebakerDave for the ride in his truck. It was great seeing everybody.
