    Bass,
Your a very talented man! This has been one of the coolest build ups I have watched on the HAMB! Can't wait to see it going down the road.

  5. Mamma mia! That's some tasty header spaghetti from Chef Bassolini.

You might wanna look into anti-theft devices, because I am totally going to steal that car.

i need to swing by and see it in person...
aaron was really impressed with it and told me i had to go look...

The car just seems to be very well thought out. Everything is simple and well done, and nothing is overkill. But there is a reason for every detail.

I give it an A so far.

What you need now is two GREAT BIG hoseclamps to pull the collectors together--makes life way easier from this point on.

    Looks great,Man. Keep it goin!

Brian, You are doing beautiful work (as always) I dont think I have ever seen Radius rods mounted on the inside of the frame. Are you sure the rods won't hit the frame on a bad bump?

I disagree. I know the plan is to make a merged collector for more power... but I like the looks of the pipes like this. Kinda gives it a mechanical fuel injection calliope.

    Just a thought...

Looking good. Headers are one of my favorite things to build. They are fun and challenging at the same time. I like your engine mounts too. Very nice.

Thanks for the compliments guys...it helps to have some encouragement when you are working somewhere between 10 and 14 hr days in the shop.

  17. Dave, that thing looks killer. It the first time I have seen it. You should leave the original color. It looks good on it.

I'm still trying, Danny! So far I'm pretty close to being on schedule. The new Ross forged pistons need to hurry up and get here though...they should have been in a week ago!!

Wow, that does look great. Your welds are beautiful.

On a side note, I lived in Joe Martin's neighborhood growing up, long before he had his bike shop in Duncanville. He lived right across the street from my high school.

They look great! Getting all those pipes snaked through there was no easy task, you should be proud of that job, heck everything is bitchen about that car.

If I can scare up some cash and the parts in the next few weeks (and I'm sure I will... funny how you can always find a way) I know that I will be working till 1:00 a.m. the first day to finish. Nothing crazy - rear end, spindles, brakes and alignment.
The C4-AOD conversion will definitely wait. That will probably take me forever since I'll screw something up and have to do it at least twice.

    Just noticed your question...

The angle of the above picture of the radius rod mounts makes it look like there is less room between the frame and the tie rod end than there actually is. Also, I've jumped up and down on the frame and jacked it up, and there are no issues with clearance. The radius rod end doesn't actually rotate all that much while driving anyway.
