So, quilty as charged. Been posting (and learning) here without doing an intro. I've been screwing with cars since I was 16. Dad wouldn't let me buy the GTO I wanted because he was afraid I'd kill myself in it. So, I bought a 71 LeMans Sport with a 350 2 barrel. Within a a year and a half I had frame off'd it and swapped in a 455. Had it running 12.20's by my junior year. Had several cars since. Some nice enough to be featured in Hot Rod magazine (Jan 2001) and other so nasty I had to hide them from my wife/friends etc... Check my profile albums for some of the former rides. I fell Into the '54 Ford I'm building now thanks to to my wife. I was selling my ' 34 Hudson and had bought a '34 Ford truck to replace it. My wife demanded the next car have a back seat for the kids. So, I sold the truck to a hamber in Australia and bought the Ford. Doing the 6 month thrash on it to get ready for this spring. Now that that you know way more than you cared to about me,I need to thank you all. You have done a great job of bringing me up to speed on the old Fords. Thanks and Godspeed! Dave
Ha Ha, The car my dad rejected was a mint 69 Dodge charger R/T with a 426 hemi dual 4 barrels. Said if I was gonna kill myself he wasn't going to help me. That was when I built up my 3rd 54 ford. Had a 390 C-6 and I'm probably lucky that I didn't kill myself in it. Welcome, I like both of em especially that gl***top
