    Hi all,
So I'm sitting here pondering which ch***is will work good on my '47. From data I can find on the net, how about the 2000 and up Chevy 1/2 ton? Looks like it has R&P power steering, coil springs, Vortec engine 4.8-6.0L and auto. Track is usable at 65". Any draw backs to this ch***is I don't know about? I would be moving the drive train back to mid mount and going to a pick up style COE and would like tow a trailer if not a 5th wheel. I could beef with boxing plates and extra bracing as required. Comments?

I have a 2006 Chevy 1/2 ton 2WD crew cab as my daily driver and I absolutely love it. That said, I want my COE to be more heavy duty than a 1/2 ton pickup so the minimum I'd consider using would be a 1 ton ch***is, no less. In fact, I'm looking for a Cl*** A motorhome ch***is right now, but that's me.

If you're looking to build something with a minimum amount of "work" duty, more of a nice riding daily driver that can haul a small amount a 1/2 ton ch***is will suit you fine. Me?

If I've got a big truck I want it to perform like a big truck. Lots of power and lots of ability.

Hey Daddio, Sense you have a late model, and sense I'm stuck in China at the moment maybe you could look at a couple of things for me. Does your truck have a front mounted rack and pinion unit? On your column shifter ,I ***ume you have an automatic, does it use a cable operated mechanism which goes to the ****** or a traditional metal rod from below the toe board? Ohh one more, for the front suspension; coil springs with frame mounted spring pocket or strut style? I appreciate the help as I'm trying to zero in on my donor truck.
    Thanks,

Damn, that's PERFECT and EXACTLY what I'm looking for! Wish it were a lot closer, I'd buy it TODAY! Shipping would be ridiculous on it though! :(

I'll try to answer all of these questions for you tonight.

Maybe you can just drive it home...sure, it might be a little windy. :)
