I'm trying to tear down a 400 Pontiac. There are two intake bolts nearest the distrib that don't seem to have room for a wrench or a socket - actually the socket goes on there but there is no room for a wrench.

Is there a specific tool for this or am I missing something?

    Thanks

if its the one i am thinking of, can't you put an extension on the ratchet and get it that way. it shouldn't be hard to get, no special tools needed.

  3. ??????????????? I can't recall ever having problems removing a pontiac intake before. If you can get a socket on the 2 bolts, unscrew 'em with a socket and ratchet.

    Ditto on what Rocky said.

PM me if you need any info on decoding block or cyl head codes. I recently uncovered some info on combustion chamber cc's and such.

    Good luck, -Abone.
