Latest aquisition ...can't help myself!!

    Just aquired another project today...the wife's still not speaking,It's a 59 chevy full size van with a 56 front clip,as soon as I saw it I imagined suede paint, scallops and dropped suspension ...bags maybe.Anyway I retreive my prize tomorrow will post pics then.In the meantime ...anyone have any pics of these animals for me to drool over

    59 Chevy full-size van? Chevrolet made vans from 64-70 in the flatnose style, then from 71-on in the longnose style. Do you mean a COE?

    Maybe he means suburban? Haha, that reminds me of the time I bought my roadrunner. My stepmother would not talk to me for almost a week, because my dad and I talked it over and didn't consult her, lol, priceless! later shawn

    I am lucky; my wife encouraged me to buy my project, although I suspect it was so I would spend more time in the garage and not in the house bugging her!

    Is it a suburban?

    Or like a bread delivery truck?

    I'm not sure what it's official name is ?? Here is a picture of the same van (not mine) except this is a 4x4 version. The one I've bought has a 56 front clip.

  9. I AM TRYING TO BUILD ONE OF THESE-mine is chopped 4-5 "[on a slant] and the roofskin is "capped"-2" above the drip rails......THAT WAS A ******* of a job!
    it was looking too much like an O.A.T.S bus to suit me!
