Greetings from Alaska, I am an old hot rod freak from way back. My Dad was racing a 38 Willys Coupe in C Gas, when I was an ankle biter...and my first ride at 16 was a 70 GTO Judge. My buddy Snodawg helped me bring home my latest baby yesterday. We found an original, virtually complete 1937 Plymouth PT-50 Pickup in remarkably good condition in Anchorage. The ole flathead 201 six even runs! It will be lovingly restored into a "Resto Rod", looking very stock except for a "stout 340 Mopar SB" turnin a beefed Torqflite through a Ford 9" with 4-link suspension. I'll post a photo here, as soon as I figure out how. I know intro's are mandatory, and I swear to NEVER discuss ricers, bugs...or any other foreign ****! I have that complete original 37 Plymouth drivetrain now for sale (if anyones interested), and am looking for a 37 Plymouth Pickup grille and front bumper. Thanks for letting me introduce myself.
Welcome to the HAMB. I thought Wasilla was a really beutiful area when I was there 2 years ago. We did a bunch of shopping before we headed further north and I really enjoyed visiting the musk ox preserve. Sure couldn't afford any of their wool products, though. Hope you enjoy yourself down here in the lower 48.
Grizz is a pretty good guy and should fit in here pretty good. I am glad he bought this ol Plymouth which kept me from buying it. His wife wishes I didn't read the Cl***ifieds tho. Here are a couple of pictures (I hope) Dawg
Alaska's pretty cool. I couldn't believe it when we drove up on a moose walking down a street in Anchorage but there she was. Your winter nights would kill me but I guess there's plenty of time to work on your cars.
