  3. what is really funny when you reply with "which part" - I just did this on one playing with the guy. He replied all of them - uh huh.
They must get people on the hook with something. Several days later received another email from the same person wanting to know if we still had a deal. Never even talked about anything not sure how the hell we had a deal.

Oh my God, esnacky! That is one of the smartest, funniest, most outrageously cool things that I have ever seen. Has anyone else recieved emails about relatives who work for shell oil being killed, and money exchanging hands? Really terrible attempts at scam!

I used to work for a bike shop called International Bicycle Centers. I would get emails all the time from "Nigerian Princes" or "Algerian Oil Magnates" claiming some horendous death in the family via a military coup or some other preposterous story. If I would be the contact for them to transfer their family fortune into a US based bank account, I could have $**,000,000 (fill in the Xs with whatever numbers catch your fancy). The only thing I had to do was front the cost of the transfer which was usually somewhere around $5,000 to $10,000 because the "government" had a hold on their accounts. What a deal.

    EMAIL:

Happy to inform you that,we've just finalized payment issues with our client this evening for the vehicle and he has informed us that he is expecting a refund payment of a vehicle that he had earlier ordered and paid for about a month ago but the order was later cancelled, because when the agent went to pick up the vehicle, he inspected the order and discovered that the vehicle was not in any good condition,so the order was cancelled and then he filed in for a refund of his money. Our client now intends to use his refund to pay for this your vehicle that he now wants to buy. Due to company policy and book keeping, this refund
payment which he is expecting, can only be made out in this one whole amount, that is the full amount which he paid before, because the company policy only allows a refund payment in one bank draft,so he has to instruct for the draft payment to be drawn to you.So he has informed me that payment will get to you in a draft payment. He is expecting a refund payment of 17,300.00Euros,so when the payment gets to you,you are required to deduct the cost of your vehicle which is (9,800.00)Euros and return the remaining balance of (7,500.00)Euros back to our client for him to be able to offset shipping charges, tax and other commission charges. After all payment has reached you and balance sent back to our client, the agent will come for pick up, while you send other the receipt and other ***le papers to our client via courier. You are required to forward your payment information (1)Name,(2)Address and(3)Phone number for payment to be made to you immediately.Take care and remain blessed.Make sure
that the address is correct to avoid the fund entering in any wrong hand.We will give you a call but that should be when the shippers must have started coming for the pickup for you to direct them on how they are going to reach you. Please one more thing you are required to remove the ads of the vehicle from the web.Awaiting to hear from you so that we will finalize everything about this transaction.
    Regards,
    Management,
    Jane Dozer.

I, as a Nigerian Prince, am deeply offended by these fake Prince scammers giving us a bad name.

Can someone let me hold a 50 until next week?

Way too much info. A bank draft takes a minumum of 5 days to clear (I just did one form my insurance co).

Send 'em back a letter and say that you will accept the bigger number as full payment but you won't accept anything but good old US dollars and that nuthing ships until the draft clears.

They will then leave you alond and you can find a legitimate buyer. My general rule of thumb on anything I sell is that I don't sell to dealers, had too many try to hustle me. Even US dealers.

    OH By the way,
This is your last chance to send a dollar to the Porkn******. And I'll be up front with you, you're going to get almost nuthin' for your buck, but at least you won't be loosin' much. [IMG]

Roddin28.... Of course it is a scam. I'm not sure how long it takes for banks in Europe to clear drafts, but in the USA it takes a min of 2 weeks for a out-of-country draft. Also, in federal banks, the statute of limitations for bad checks and drafts is three years. If you due get a draft, wait until the bank clears it, then add two more weeks of wait atleast to be sure. Sorry, but this deal is a scam.
