Hell Brandon, .80 over and 4" crank sounds like a stock motor to me.......

You shouldn't have told Tyrell about the internals until after he tried to pass you!

    Hey Brandon,
Glad to hear you finally got the Motor! I can tell you Danny was just as excited for you to have the motor as you were to get it. As you know Danny and I have been best friends in this hobby for many years. We have swapped a lot of parts back and forth and believe in helping the hobby (the Harmon-Collins was off my old flathead ) Danny is a great Ambassador and is always looking to help the young guys! Can't wait to see the motor in the car......

Your car is excellent. And getting better by the minute!

I remember the first hot-rodded '39s and '40s I ever saw...1954 there were a couple over in the Burbank district of San Jose...they hung out at Tut's auto supply. Both had big flatheads with pots & high compression heads, chrome radiator hoses...No hoods on either, looked like they were "all engine" to this then-12 year old. In my mind the '40 Coupe was the quintessential hot rod.

The following year I would get a '36 three window, after I missed out on the '40 Standard that my pal Jim beat me to! But I got to work on it, and drive it prior to getting my drivers license!

He said his fathers repair shop where he customized the 39 was right next to the oldsmobile and studebaker dealerships... Hence the 41' stude grille and 40 ' olds spade bumpers!!

I'm a newby and that guy makes me feel bad. You have to give a man some respect on the mill that he chooses on his pride and joy! That's like saying his wife's ugly, You just don't do it!
