Does anyone know what year a LD Flathead is from? I have a flathead with the water pumps on the head. It is stamped on the drivers side block deck between the head and manifold LD (not LB.) It has a 1brl detroit lubricator carb. I think it might be a 1933 but don't know for sure. I'm planning on listing it on the for sale adds but want to get info before posting it. It's a complet motor and turns over.
1 Barrel DL was used '32-33 only. '32 manifold mounts the gen on a round post in a big vertical hole with a clamp, '33 mounts it on a flat plate vertical at front of manifold. "33 only has a hand throttle lever on side of carb opposite lever for regular hookup. ID that stuff, then we can go on to heads and block.
