The wheels survived - I did burn a couple of exhaust valves on the way back from San Diego. Sent the engine out for a rebuild and it now has a 5 speed overdrive transmission. Re***embly is requiring lots of modifications, slow going at my age.

 

Life happened - My mother in law had surgery and I need to stay home.

Maybe next year.

Sorry to hear of your MIL. I hope the surgery is successful and everything turns out well. I had to make the decision not to take my car this year. It just isn't complete enough. Hope to see you next year!

 

Got loaded and chained down last night around 9 . Heading out around 6:30

 

EERRR, ain`t gonna make it. Wife decided to have a garage sale and might as well go to a swap meet Friday and Saturday in between helping her.

 

Was doing some last minute walk-around stuff so I could head out early Sat. morning. Checked the air in the tires, Oh and i think I'll give that fuel line fitting a little tug to tighten. Snapped right off. spent about 2 hours scrambling for a conglomeration of fittings to stop the flow of gas in the garage. Finally got something cobbled together to stop the bleeding. Better luck next time , I hope.

 

As usual, it was a good showing with lots of friends. I always have a great time at LAD and the SK500.
