The other problem with studies like this is you can just about engineer a study to show any result you want - the moon is made of green cheese, taxes are good for you, this or that or the other thing causes cancer, and so on. Then a few weeks or years later you see a study claiming the opposite. In the 1970s, everyone was worried about the next ice age. Apparently the last of the lead kids became scientists, because now the rage is global warming. I agree that it's warm, but I also think it's soft and brown.
That's about the only way you'd absorb lead from fuel. Tailpipe emissions contain only lead in an inert form that cannot be absorbed into the body, waterways, food etc.
no it wouldn't. lead, like many toxins, has a MUCH greater effect on young, developing people, not adults.
at least we can all rest easy knowing that people that post idiotic answers to threads like this know that they are just stupid people and won't try to blame their stupidity on lead poisoning, mental retardation, ADD or any other factor.
