Well I took off the front card(2 carb setup) becuase it is a leaker. Filled up the float bowl on my bench, two hours later empty. This is a rebuilt, replaced power valve and gasket, also the gasket for the two front br*** plugs. Checked this AM and lost about 1/3 of the gas. (overnight test)

Question 1 Is there a sealer of threads out there ? Brand name please

Question 2 The replaement carb has what looks like another power valve screw on the base of the carb, the old carb I took off don"t have one. Whats up with that ?

Know what you mean, I had overflow problems galore, first one then the other. Clear filter, couldn;t see much problem, used aftermarket rebuilds with the new fangled float valve. Checked the pump pressure, was correct 2 1/2#, finally pit the original needles and seats back, no more overflow problem. But for your test, I see no relevence there. I do know that sometimes I park for a half hour and before leaving look down the holes and one or the other will be all wet down there and a puddle on the ****erfly. Seem's to come out the top, like there is some vent problem forcing an overflow. Pisses me off.
These 94's are so plentiful and so differnt, I had a good running '36 with a 94 model 59. Therefore when I got a fresher motor I found another model 59 and rebuilt it for the 2 2 setup. There are a half dozen differences between the 2 carbs. Someone may have switched bases on you, I know I have looking for a tighter throttle bore
