I took my fuel pump and filter off this weekend to clean them both. Unfortunately when I put the filter back together it was leaking like crazy out of the top bolt. I removed it again and cleaned all rubber seals and put a new crush washer on and the thing is still leaking slightly. I torqued the **** out of it and I'm afraid anything more with crack the housing. The filter is a Professional Products filter like the one in the photo. I'm reading that others have had the same problem so a new filter is on my list. Does anyone have a solution to stop the leak until I get an new filter? Thanks in advance for any advice.

  2. Ivory bar soap will stop it, until it gets wet. Cheap plain old non perfumed bar soap.
