LAND SPEED LEGENDS, Episode 5: the story of Lee Bible and the White Triplex (aka Triplex Special) at Daytona Beach in 1929. Also covers Ray Keech, who broke the land speed record in the Triplex the previous year. Keech held the record for 11 months, then Henry Segrave took it back for Britain in the Golden Arrow, pushing the LSR way up to 231 mph. Keech refused to drive the Triplex again (too dangerous) so the car's owner, Jim White, asked mechanic Lee Bible to drive it.
