Built my '37 ford 10 yrs ago. Mustang II on the front and 9 in with big drums on the back. Lately when braking aggresivly, the left front locks up. The power boosted master cylinder is mounted on the frame rail and have an rpv. Do not have a proportioning valve and never had any problems in the past. What's up guys?
A seized right caliper can do it. Dan T "Dirty fingernails...... Oh boy what a prize ..." Shangri Las in Give him a great big kiss
I've seen grease on the pads cause some lockups. A warped rotor will also lockup too soon under some conditions. Do you notice any bounce in the pedal?
It's possible the Rubber brake hose is start to brake down on the inside and holding pressure on caliper after brake is released then slowly bleeds off

One of those been there done that,,I'm betting that your front brake hose is collapsing,,,replace both of them. HRP
Years ago, I had a lady come into the shop had a brand new tire with a perfect flat/bald spot, I pulled the tire and spun the rotor it would stop in the same place everytime reguardless of how hard I spun it, seem every time she rolled to a stop she would drag/skid the tire a bit, wore out a brand new tire in less than 3 weeks (cheap tire) The cause was a warped rotor. Godspeed MrC.
