Left over parts

Installing a disc brake upgrade that came from Speedway Motors on my 58 chevy truck. I had two of these small metal clips left over. any ideas? Looks like anti rattle clips of some sort, but no obvious place to install them. They were in the box with the brake pads. Any help will be appreciated.

 

Think that clip went on the backside pad to help keep in the correct location on the piston.
