How random is a chopped 50 Ford cruising down a So Cal street in this day and age?

    Hello,

Prior to the start of the pandemic, I was coming home from a short shopping trip, along with getting some gas in our car. It was a great sunny So Cal day, cold, but nice to say the least. So, I was content to keep driving along. But something caught my eye. It was close to the winter holiday events and it sure seemed like people were in a rush to go somewhere. In my case, just cruising to get back home.

In one of the traffic lanes over toward the center double yellow lines, a cool old car flashed between the slight openings between the huge, white, behemoth van and other cars. It was a lowered grey/black primer old Ford sedan going in the same direction.

So, I took out my digital camera and started shooting from the shoulder, in a point and shoot estimation of where the car was and where it was going. It was a chopped, lowered, cool custom Ford that I had seen a week prior in a grocery store/restaurant complex. At the time, we were both in a rush to get to our destinations and I told myself that I would see the chopped Ford again sometime.

The driving situation in So Cal is full of interesting old cars. On most days on the streets, one will see a hot rod, an old truck or two. But, twice, I saw this custom Ford cruising down the road in the coastal area. Since then, we have not seen this chopped Ford on the road in our local driving areas. Even in our expanded South Coast driving areas, the sight of the chopped Ford was not seen on any day of the week. Perhaps, he was using this time period during the pandemic to get some additional work finished?

It has been over two years and finally, I saw the same chopped Ford getting a makeover for the future.
