I apologize for not following protocol coming on the board. My name is Robert Hendricks on the board as Doc Squat. I'm from Tulsa, Ok. Have lived here since 1970. I'm married for 41 year to my wife Judy. Have a cat named Belle. I have a 1932 Ford Tudor sedan that I have done alot of the work on myself and have had what I couldn't do with some help from my friends and a great guy named Karl Skalnick who did the body work and paint. Since I'm not rich moneywise I've had to go slow building my car. I still have the interior to go. I am the fourth owner of my 32 sedan. The car was built in Dearborn and had never left the city until I bought it in 1990. The man I bought it from had the car for 27 years and he bought it from a man who had had it for 22 years. It is untouched as far as the exterior goes, kept the cowl lights , no chop but did have Sam Rambo fill the roof for me. Motor is a chevy Performance Ramjet 350 hooked to a 700r4 ******. Too much other stuff to go into except have American Torque Thrusters for wheels. Paint is black. Prior to this I had a 1956 F-100 which I miss very much. Had to sell it to further my 32. It was a very beautiful turquoise and had receive many nice awards including one from PPG. If I hit the lottery I'm going to try to buy it back. It is in Chino, Calif. Guy who has it loves it. When I get the money my next project sitting in my garage is a 1950 Olds Tudor. I'm a member of the Early Rods of Tulsa, NSRA and Goodguys. In the past I bought a new 1964 Corvette split window. Other rides include a 1959 T-Bird, a 1957 Ford Convertable, 1970 Chevelle, a 1937 Ford Slantback sedan, a 1930 Ford Tudor, a 1935 Ford pickup, 2 S-10 Blazers and my daily driver is a 1999 Tahoe Two door. Had a 1977 Ford van with **** carpet-all over the entire interior. Those were some other era. I'm what you call the "average white guy." I'm not bitter. Just love cars , hot rods and trucks. Would like to have one of everything. Love my wife and the US of A. Served in the Iowa and Missouri National Guard. I retired on Easter Sunday, still have a little side job. I hope this gets me back in good graces with everyone. I still think that Tulsa would be a good place for a NSRA show. I still think OKC is no fun and I won't go back. My wife promised me that when I retired I could get a dog. I'm looking right now.
well , that was more interesting...sounds like a nice `32..and some interesting cars in your past ( except for the `77 ford van) now you just have to figure out how to post some pictures
So, is everybody in Tulsa [except "Curious Rash"] a "Doc"?.....welcome, Doc. Sounds like you have a great 2 door. I'm sooo jealous. I'm building a 34 coupe that's almost unrecognisable as a real car. Veteran, old married guy, hotrod fanatic on a budget? You'll fit in well here.
