trying to see all the different ways to Z a model A frame in the front. Tryign to plan how I want to do it, but I can't make up my mind. I know I don't want the kickup back at the cowl since I want the body and frame to be a continous line, I was thinking doing the kickup so it would be hidden by the front wheels when you looked at it from the side. I thought I had some pics on the computer here, but I don't.
This is just another post in my "I've never done any of this shit before" series....

    there's only two front kick-ups I like,

both happen right at the firewall, either a step or a piecut,

I've seen steps like you're talking about and they just aint right.

how low should a stock frame sit witha spring behind setup and a 4" dropped axle? The frame already has a rear kickup in it but I'm not sure how much. I want the thing to be pretty low with a little bit of rake to it. I may not have to do a drastic step in the front...just looking for ideas and to see how others have done it...

I think the roach rod has a setup like that. Sam??

Me...I'm using later Ford "fat fendered" car framerails, they have a kickup built in, except it flows.

I've seen cars using those rails and it looked pretty slick, but I gotta work with what I'm gonna ahve since money's tight, and I wanna get this thing where It can be driven as quickly as possible. The frame already has the rear mounted and it's boxed in so I'm pretty set on using it.

cool, that's more like I was thinking, but not even as far back as that. Like just a kickup for the front crossmember that's right at the front crossmember. or would that not be a good idea?
