My '46 chevy daily driver- not traditional since it's sitting on an S10 frame and running gear, but it'll look the part in a couple of weeks. Matte black paint and steelies on the way! The second is my more traditional rust machine, a '52 retrieved from a local farmer. It's undergoing a engine/tranny swap now, hopefully it'll be on the road this fall. It's getting a 194 straight six/ Powerglide swap ( it was cheap) Awesome thread!
LOL! Thanks, I'm going after the semi-modern look of a plastic intake. No, I pulled the tarp off the truck to cover up the 455 and just haven't gotten around to buying another for the cab.
been moving right along, much of my progess is chassis and interior, but it's all going back together and feels good to see that light at the end of the tunnel
Well here's my three. The forty has been waiting for that 409 wannabe sense high school ('68) it's next after the DB roadster, but the other chev and the MACK are way down the list. OLY The cancer car lives Give to cancer research
saw this one in rod and kulture. Im super glad someone got to save it from some douche who would put 5,000 cadillac tail lights on it. One quetion though, is the door notched out to clear the slick when the door opens? Bad ASS.
May as well add mine to this fine post. It was a 48 Chevy 2dr seedan... There are more pictures in my album... over here---> http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=106
Here are some more pics, some are lousy as my friends took them with a cell phone. I have another post on the main page and will be adding more info and pictures. Frame lay with bags deflated The side frame rails are from a 91 Toyota 2 wheel drive. The front stock torsion bar suspension was removed and converted to tubular A arms. Custom built rear C notches with triangular 4 bars and allot od crossmembers added to handle the high HP. Looks lame before the chop and channel. The cab is now back 4" from where you see it sitting in this photo and the front frame between the cab and suspension was lenghtened 8" to make room for the lakers.
Damn, not really feelin the independant front suspension, I was wondering how you got it so low without kicking the axle out in front. Still a neat little truck. By the way, I got patch panels here: http://www.rileyreproductions.com/patchpanels.html
