I second this. Levi showed me his true character over a year ago and I have stayed away from him ever since. He is not "the man".

I think you should throw Pinball an extra couple hundred bucks in interest. Everyone knows he needs it and it's the least you could do for the faith that he showed in you with this deal. Most guys on here would have been looking for blood long ago. I think sending him 1000 bucks instead of 750 would show that you really are sorry. I just wonder if this would have gotten addressed if he hadn't made this post. I'm glad you have the balls to face this head on and do the right thing but I fail to see how following through with your word a year late makes you anything other than someone people should think twice about dealing with.

Well,I am glad that Levis Classic has owned up to the error of his ways- and that Pinball and others may finally get what they're owed. I wouldn't exactly say they're even-not after a year, but it's only the guys being owed that have the right to decide that. Sad to say, a lot of HAMB memory has been made and a lot of folks will think twice before dealing with Mr Classic.

Pinball should have been treated with the same friendship and consideration he put into this transaction-we'd all want that. At the end of the day, all we have to stand on is our word and our self-respect.

And while it is part of my duties here to help make sure that people don't get ripped off here, I will at least give a dude a chance to make it right before throwing the poison darts at him.

There are some people in this world that set out to screw others.

Then there are some that try and do the right thing and just get buried in the day-to-day bullshit and wind up screwing themselves. I fit this group.

First of all Pinball sold me his engine on good faith, I took advantage of that and have taken WAY to long to finish paying him. Never should have happened but it did. Chris will be taken care of in the next 24-48 hours. He has every right to post what he did.

Thats where I was this weekend delivering my Sedan to Caffiene who bought it from me. I drove 850 miles each way (at my expense $600 +/- who in there right mind would do this) so I could get some cash to Pinball taken care of.

As for everyone else - I will get everything taken care of. My biggest problem in life is procrastination! Many times it goes on WAY TOO LONG!

He doesn't say he's in a bad position.
He said he took unfair advantage of PINBALL and others because it was easier than doing what was necessary to give them what they were due.

Besides...being in a "bad way" is not licence to accept payment for parts you won't be shipping for months if at all, or accepting parts from others without payment.
Theres a word for that...but I won't spell it out.

Bottom line: You wanna play...you GOTTA pay.

Unfortunately, Levis "interest payments" will come from the fear people now have in dealing with him. He has nobody to blame but himself for that.

I HOPE he does turn it around. He seems like a real nice guy otherwise...but he's getting what he deserves! Even HE admits that.

 

From my previous post one might think I had a dog in this fight. While that is true I didn't think it necessary to publicly air my griefs. That said, Leviclassic (Brett) has squared away everything with me and I'm now willing to cautiously let the issue die. I only hope he makes his dealings with others as right as he made things with me. This whole saga has made me reflect on how easy it is to have things get out of hand and how hard it is to rectify sometimes. Maybe we all should take a look in the mirror and see if the reflection is chrystal clear.
