    Very well crafted hood.
And I would echo the others about it bringing the truck together.

I can't really see how the hood attaches, it looks like screws to some bracket.

One thing I have learned from driving these things, is you have to allow them to move.
think about how an original hood is attached, with spring loaded latches, this allows the body and frame to move and twist.

Even the radiator is usually mounted on springs

If you don't allow for this movement, something will eventually give.

you may have already accounted for this and I can't see it, but others should keep this in mind.

Looks great, hope to see it on the road.

My thoughts exactly! That look's VERY nice. Well Done for sure.
One question, Did he roll the front edge at the shell to make a hem, or is it just slightly curved to meet it? Just wondering.
The fitment of it looks super nice!!

First off i gotta thank TJ for giving me a shot at the hood, its always nice to do work for a friend! So thanks amigo!
And for the reveal, I just used a bead roller, took some experimenting with the dies to find the right combo for the model A reveal.
As for the taper at the front of the hood I cut a < shape with my cut off wheel in the bead, hammered it flat and welded it up and shaped it with a file.
As for the top itself, it was mostly shaped on the english wheel and the roll at the front of the hood was just hammered over a regular old heel dolly.
I sure do appriciate all the kind words!! hope I explained everything well enough. I would be happy to help with any more questions.

  7. That's a good point, i see what yor saying. Right now the radiator is hard mounted. I'll switch that back over to a spring mounted design to help give it some movement. Thanks for the heads up. :D
