This looks like pipe thread, not sure. I just need it about 3" longer so I don't have to raise the bed floor to put gas in it.

Cold as a well diggers ass here this morning, but it got up to around 55. It was a nice day, I called it Lloyd's day, I went to the shop and worked on my truck the whole day. It was much needed. Paid $66 for an alternator because I didn't have a core, and $23 for a sheet of siding for the bed floor, 2 cans of brake kleen and a quart of transmission fluid. Probably $120 total, cheap therapy lol

Got me thinking, everybody knows I'm not a mechanic, but I kept fighting a leaking transmission dipstick. Yeah it's a piece of shit aftermarket item, but I had it out 3 times. I sprayed it all down with brake cleaner, and noticed the sealant was pushed up and out. Got me thinking. So I went to the transmission vent, yep! Clogged up with a mud dobbers home. Cleaned all of that out, and like an idiot I stuck the blow nozzle in there! POW! blew the dipstick out of the tube and transmission fluid everywhere! Cleaned it all up, back together, and I think it's good to go now. Guess that pressure has to go somewhere when the vent is clogged huh?

My gas cap ended up about flush with my bed floor so I used an old kitchen sink strainer basket, with the bottom cut out, for a trim ring around it.

No I can stick a close nipple on there and it'll be through the floor. Pretty simple fix :D

  14. "blue dick", "wood", "(well digger's) ass", "nipple"...... I guess I won't be dragging this thread into the gutter if I use the phrase "colder than a whore's heart", huh?

Doesn't look as stupid as the time back in high school when I did the same on my '61 Falcon but didn't cut out for headlights.:(

It could come in handy at the dragstrip. You just need a race car and trailer.
I don't mind it. Resurrected old push truck. Mind start a trend.

    Yes to the push truck!
Anything to get you guys to stop talking about, uh, yer privates!!
We've discussed a few other hobbies in common. When I had copies of what I guess are classroom type drawings made, certain people came to mind. You're on the list. Show 'em off here when you ever put them up! A pal is a real '' junk collector''. Known him since school, good dude but near hoarder status with broken machines. Wife was a friend, too but she was exasperated with what she married into. When we were all a lot younger, I'd stir the pot and sometimes back into his front yard at night. Eject the blown up small block or rear and then tear outta there. He'd call around in the morning and find out who ''junked'' him. Thank me for the scrap, then I'd avoid her for a good while! R.I.P, Kelly.

  29. I dig the push truck idea. Very cool.

  30. Maybe a homemade wrecker boom in the bed too!!!:):):)
