After visiting with Carl aka MoKanMan we decided Carl would sleep better if I showed up with a little protection, and I don't mean condoms here!

Not quite finished with this little Saturday project but thought it was turning out OK. Wife thinks it is a hell of a good idea too Carl.

how'd ya mount that thing?

 

It's a bolt in. The hoop is welded to a flat plate that goes from sub rail to subrail. Angle brace has a square plate welded to the end.

Stil have to drill the holes and bolt it down in the pic.

Fiddy, here is a pic out of the car. You can see the mounting plates. They will be plated on the other side of the floor as well.
