couple of pics from social media 75th anniversary thread. Coupe pic is on the Blue Ridge parkway.

 

Shades of the 60s! Dual spots, nerf bars, canted quads, scallops, chrome reverse wheels with whitewalls, later rear pickup fenders and those bed rail exhausts that Honest Charley used to sell. Being one of the Class of '60 in high school, I still have a soft spot for these, great memories.

 

Ran up to the Syracuse nationals in New York over the weekend.......

And since it was a short 2 -1/2 drive to Niagara Falls, we headed over there for a couple of days after the show.

 

You really should drive that car more often, Andy.

Good start, do you have the rest of sheet metal?
Repro stuff is available for most of it, but I haven't heard of a source for a hood.

More than qualifies ! As close as a twin brother to a 40 and a fine example to boot ! I have a 40 standard but between a 40 standard and 39 deluxe I cannot decide which is better. They are both awesome.

Some 40 pictures from the GG's 2015 Northwest Nationals. It was supposed to rain a lot this weekend but it rained Friday night but only sprinkled a little on Saturday. When I left the fair grounds Saturday night about 9:30 the fair grounds was still dry and the cruising showed little sign of tapering off soon. The cool weather was a welcome change for all of us Northwesters as it has been a hot summer so far. The overcast and the huge crowd on Saturday made it difficult to get decent pictures

I counted four convertibles at the show. I don't recall seing that many there at one time before.

GG's had a special area for 40's on Saturday. As usual about half of the 40's at the show found the area.

Well I did sneak in a couple of 39's
This third brake light looks like a great idea that someone should market.
