Thank you! I didn’t build it, but bought it after selling my roadster. It’s well built!
The block is cracked between a valve seat and cylinder. Terminal, I’m afraid. Probably some internal stuff is salvageable.

Got this one to redo my way but stroke halted that--minty car too-may just send it down the road now. One of the best I have ever had.

THX Don-slow process.The 40 s a 47K mile orig with stock running gear and a Columbia.Also have a new Walker rad and access to a fresh 283 with complete adapter setup to stock drivetrain.Just can't do it now. No paint uph etc etc needed-was restored some yrs back and not driven. Easy if i was well.

 

Tim, Here's hoping for a great recovery, that 40 needs your touch.
