A friend of mine had this Mercury built in the 1980's came to a point where he changed hobbies sold the Mercury to fund the new hobby. It was built be Bruce Conover Customs in Pennsylvania. Bruce has since moved to Florida. It was recently pictured on a post about Bruce.
I showed my friend the picture and he wondered where it was and what it looked like today. When he sold the car it was all gold. There was no cove on the side. That may be paint?
There was a single drivers seat and the passenger seat to rear seat was a bed with a bar on the side behind the driver. It ran a nicely detailed flathead.
    Any info would be appreciated.

I took those pictures in Davenport Iowa at the Merc Duce Reunion in about 95. It was sitting next to Alley Oop(They rolled in together). I`m thinkin he was from Illinois.? Yes it was paint on the sides. Scan0170.jpg Scan0171.jpg

Wow! No additional sightings since 1995? It may turn up on a barn finds post!
