the top part of the hinge that was holding my deck lid on fell off today (metal dowl was wearing out and pushed itself 1/2 way out all the time and i finally forgot to pound it in!)...

anyways, these were a swap meet buy (39 chevy maybe?), so help me out on finding out what they were from so i can locate a replacement..

ps - if anyone has one you should help a poor guy out!

well its almost for sure american i think... the 39 buicks are almost dead on matches, but doesnt have teh small ridge on the rear of the smaller 1/2,.,,

i would settle for that, i still have the large 1/2, i just need to find a smaller half that will work.. i planned on getting much nicer ones before the car gets final paint anyways

You can proabably still find nice used ones at swap meets. These look like 40 Chevys to me.

I was gonna say 39 chevy but you beat me to it.

I know I had one 20 years ago, but I have no idea if it's still around or where. I doubt it.

  9. If I find one at the AACA show & swap meet tomorrow should I get it for you? What's your $$$ limit?

I really believe 41-48 chevy. There is a difference between left and right. I might have one buried in my swap meet trailer.
