If you know oatmeal, this would be mush. It has the structural strength of termite hollowed out piece of pine wood.
Please show us a picture of a better repair of cracked and finished oxidized steel. FeO2 is a bitch.
Have the need to crank the amperage down off of 120 amps on 220 to add motor mounts and boxing plates? Below 90 amps on 220 is pushing your luck with MIG on .035 ER70S6 wire.
Body metal isn't my fun, but I have experience on my car using .023 and similar ROT as in the frame picture. Body, not FRAME.

  3. It's a door...not the frame. The hinge has not been installed.

  4. A little more work on the windshield frame. I didn't know the model A had these little "L" brackets in them, I learned they are to keep the frame together after installing the glass. I love this shit!! the old ones were stuck (rusted in the frame) so I had to make a small cut in the frame to get them out and once out had to weld it back up.

  5. Ok, for the few that are following along on this rusted out hulk here's what has been going on. I sourced a rusted out windshield frame for the build. I finished it up today....(kinda) I think I am going to weld up the wiper holes, I will not be needing a wiper on this tudor. I probably have to much time in the frame but it came out ok. I think next time I will buy a re-pop and save myself all the extra work. I painted it up with some satin paint I had. This will not be the color I plan on painting it, Just F.Y.I. Here's a shot of the frame

  6. I bought 2 inner support rails and I have been installing them, not much to report except cut out the old and weld in the new:D

That is a great offer. Not only does he have some cool stuff sitting around, you may be able to talk him out of a cold barley pop !
