If any of you guys go the the Autorama in Fortuna, CA, you know this one. I've seen it there every year for quite some time and its always been one of my favorites. I spoke to the owner a few times, but don't remember his name off the top of my head. Real nice guy though.

Sorry if the pics are a lil artsy....that the style I was going for at the time. Looking back, i shoulda got a shot of the whole car. I'm sure it'll be back this year though.

  9. cwayne...
love them crushed can pics... bags? maybe...
no matter. reminds me of my dad's 59 impala. his big brag on it was that you couldn't slide a pack of camels under the rockers. and that was a static drop...
i'll never guess how they drove 'em like that daily....

either way, after i'm done with the '52, i'm doing a '49 that sits just like that.

Are those '59 Caddy tailights? Can we see what they look like? Adding them to my '51 Chevy, still trying to figure out the look.

    Beautiful ride.

  11. NOT mine but one of the nicest chops ive seen done on one of these cars.

My 1954 Belair hardtop. Bought it out of Las Vegas Nevada last summer (2009) after only seeing one 2x2" photo and had the car shipped up to Portland, OR. Stock car at the time with the 235 straight six and 3 speed with yellow paint. Over the past winter I rattle canned it flat black and we replaced the drive train with a 1974 rebuilt chevy 250 straight six followed by a rebuilt 700r4 auto trans (4 speed with overdrive) connected to a '79 camero rearend (3.08 gears). new fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines, radiator, trans cooler, B&M shifter, HEI distributor, wiring harness, custom gauge panel to name a few. Coming this winter a Mustang II front end with power rack and pinion with Air ride Technology for suspension.

I love that "coming home" shot... Who hasn't experienced the anticipation of that project you're hauling home with all the possibilities!?

And LOVE the outcome. Thanks soooo much for not following what everybody else is doing but rather putting together a ride of your own. Refreshing to see someone putting together their own ride with their own ideas.. not a copy of everybody elses..

    Thanks so much!

While I agree that that is a really nice car that I'd be proud to own, I'm not sure I understand why you see a virtually stock car as
