I already bout the astros and bag kit, I was thinking more along the lines of paint and exhaust...

  5. Well, from ten feet she looks pretty good.
Unless you are planning on messing with the cam, the stock exhaust is fine.
Not loud (You can try taking out the resonators)but it's really tuned for the power band of the car.
Take a look at the two miles of tubing under there.
Buick worked pretty hard to get the volume and flow right on these babies.
If the water heater (It's huge)muffler is rusted out, you can play with gl*** pacs or chambered mufflers running transversly behind the axle to keep the volume where it needs to be.
Flowmaster makes a 2 in/ 2 out muffler for Camaros that might do the trick.
I've been toying with these ideas but fortunately...I have spares from a couple of parts cars.

The twin crosswise gl*** packs sounded like **** on my 64. I replaced them with an aftermarket water heater replacement muffler, then when you hammered it the sound was a staccato like a machine gun. I think the missing resonators were sorely needed.

  7. That could be.
I know on my brothers car (Back in the seventies) we replaced the resonators with economy mufflers and went straight to tail pipes from there and that ***** was LOUD.
Not so much to the people standing on the street but you couldn't here yourself think at certain speeds.
So I know it needs the big muffler.
Good to know about the resonators too.

My all time favorite Rivi. I know I know wide whites blah blah blah but I like the switch from the normal Astro's and skinny whites. Courtesy of Rod and Custom's website...

I love that car... drooled over the mag as soon as i saw it... but the only thing I'm not feelin' is the painted bumpers to simulate a roll pan. Other that that... damn!
