Naw, well I guess that depends. A lot of us had a lot of fun in those old cars so arrousel wouldn't be out of the question. Now if you are arroused over the car itself that may be a little strange, not Sandusky strange, but a little strange for sure, in a good way. Casey that's just wrong bro.
A friend of mine had a hardtop with floorshifter and notched benchseat was a 327 and 4spd if i remember things right
Friend of mine's Dad had a 4 door HDTP with 327 4spd from the factory...to bad he didn't see that missing bridge..oops.
4 door hardtop being sold here in la porte tx with factory floor shifter. I'll check my external harddrive for pics. I took some a while back before the current owner bought it. heck pictures are on the home computer. I'll upload them tonight.
i sold off my '63 impala 2 dr hardtop to pay school loans back in the early 90s. I'll get another one someday soon.
'63 Impalas came in 2 dr hdtp, convertible, station wagon, 4 dr hdtp and 4 dr sedan body styles. '61 was only year for Impala 2 dr sedan.
very nice car.. so many ways you can go with these, but i honestly prefer the simple basic stock version.. and i prefer spinners over cragers.... don't like the lowrider versions.... our neighbor had a white 4-door sedan biscayne when we were growing up-- the 63 is a nice transition between the 62 and the 64, a very sedate style..
A couple more i found. This thread makes me want an Impala. Heres an od shot of the first one i posted.
Seeing this was brought back up i just had to add this. When i wrote my first reply i mentioned i'd do another 63 when i finished the 62 i was doing. Roughly a week after i wrote that, i bought another 63. The "ONE" i've been looking for for at least 15 years...An original unrestored polomar red (maroon) with black int numbers match 409 car. That color combo was what my dad bought new and i've lusted after an original one for years...the bonus was the 409. Only pics i have are in it's current state which needs full resto so i won't bore you with that.. Just thought i'd share cause it's strange how it happened right after i wrote it. AND, it all happened because of the Impala thread on here...that's how i found it. crazy Tony
Thanks Deuces! I just didn't want to highjack the thread with a project when so many slick 63's were posted.. Thanks to the history of my dad's, here's one of the most important cars i own, or will ever own. I'm going to restore it and give it to my dad. This was the day i went and brought it home. Tony
Tony at lest the side trim looks good! mine was concaved! lol If you need the front fender trim i have extra now I can let you have.
Tony, There is not doubt in my mind that this '63 will turn out just like your '62 did, and will make your Dad one proud Papa..... Good for you, and glad you are already working on it... Cheers......
Thanks a lot fella's! Well, for now my dad will be driving my 62 Imp. I was going to start right away on the 63, but chose to dig back into my 32 project that i've had for YEARS...it will be a much quicker project. Next year, hopefully toward the end of summer i'll pull the 63 in and tear it down to a bare frame and start on it. Tony
