I did a search and didn't find much. I view the signs as one more version of Hot Rod Art kind of like Model Car Boxes. It's interesting to see what information the owner felt was relevant. So...let's see some signs

I still love car show signs, but too old an shaky now to do them any more by hand @ 80 yo..
They seem too be less used now days=that's too bad ;),I think it's a nice add to any well done car.
I made $,at shows painting signs, under my Art name "The Bat" back in the late 1950s an in to the mid 1960s"around Florida,
Some owners wanted a lot of info, others lowest cost sign they could get.
When asked,I'd tell'm "Less is more",most folks will only read a little anyway !,so the main info is key, even though I got payed more for a lot of info on the signs. 4716667_orig.jpg

I'm a bit prejudiced, being a sign painter from the last century. I like seeing all the hand lettered car signs which to me are just a more elaborate Sho-card, they have so much more soul than their vinyl counterparts. Thanks for posting them Mark.
